This quick restaurant style salsa is so easy to make – you’ll have salsa on your table in less than 5 minutes!
Roughly chop cilantro and dice half an onion. Add to a blender bowl with peeled garlic, diced tomatoes, jalapeño, fresh lime juice, and spices.
Blend to your desired consistency. Let salsa rest for 30 minutes so flavors can meld.

Quick Restaurant Style Salsa
This tasty restaurant style salsa comes together in only 5 minutes. Adjust the heat to your preference!
- 2 14 oz cans diced tomatoes or 1 28 oz can whole tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic peeled
- 2 cups fresh cilantro roughly chopped, with stems
- 1/2 white onion diced
- 1 jalapeño stem removed and cored, if you want a milder salsa
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- juice from 1 lime
Add all ingredients to the bowl of a blender or food processor, and blend until you reach your desired consistency. Season to taste
For best results, allow the salsa to sit for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
